Los Angeles Knight Riders Post 187/3 in the 1st Inning

After being asked to bat, the Knight Riders recovered from an early setback thanks to a brilliant partnership between Colin Munro and Andre Russell.

Munro anchored the innings with a composed 51 off 44 balls, smashing five boundaries and two sixes before falling in the 15th over.

Andre Russell once again proved why he is one of T20 cricket's most dangerous all-rounders. Remaining unbeaten on 62 from 50 deliveries, Russell paced his innings perfectly before handing over the finishing duties to Rovman Powell.

Powell produced one of the most destructive cameos of the tournament, smashing an unbeaten 50 off just 15 balls, including six massive sixes and two boundaries at an astonishing strike rate of 333.33.

The late assault helped Los Angeles finish strongly on 187/3 in 20 overs.

Sunil Narine struck immediately, dismissing dangerous Lhuan-dre Pretorius with the very first ball of the innings before removing dangerous opener Finn Allen just two deliveries later.
