After being put in to bat, Hampshire built their innings around captain James Vince, who played a magnificent knock of 84 off just 46 balls. Vince smashed 12 boundaries and two sixes, dominating the Kent bowling attack during the powerplay and middle overs.

Joe Weatherley provided excellent support with 24 off 16 balls, while Tristan Stubbs added 18 and Ben Mayes chipped in with a quick 15 towards the end.
