Namibia's innings got off to a flying start as captain Gerhard Erasmus unleashed an attacking masterclass, smashing 51 runs from just 20 balls at a staggering strike rate of 255.00. His innings included two fours and five towering sixes, putting immediate pressure on Nigeria's bowlers.

The momentum continued through Alexander Volschenk, who played one of the finest knocks of the tournament. Remaining unbeaten on 73 from only 32 deliveries, Volschenk hammered seven sixes and two fours at an incredible strike rate of 228.12.

Junior Taanyanda also made an important contribution with 35 runs off 29 balls, while Zane Green chipped in with 18 and Jan Nicol Loftie-Eaton added 16.

Despite a difficult day for most Nigerian bowlers, Abdullahi Ismail stood out with excellent figures of 3/20 in four overs, preventing an even bigger total.

Namibia finished with a formidable 220/5, setting Nigeria a daunting target of 221.

Nigeria Struggle in Chase

Facing a steep chase, Nigeria started positively through Isaac Danladi, who scored 35 runs from 28 balls, while Vincent Adewoye contributed 28 and Sylvester Okpe added 27.

However, regular wickets prevented Nigeria from building any meaningful partnerships. Once the top order departed, the middle and lower order failed to sustain the required scoring rate.

Namibia's bowlers maintained complete control throughout the innings. Left-arm spinner Bernard Scholtz was outstanding, conceding just 12 runs and taking two wickets in his four overs.
