Ellyse Perry Leads Australia's Batting Charge

Australia suffered an early setback when wicketkeeper Beth Mooney was dismissed on the very first ball of the innings by Sadia Iqbal. However, the setback only brought out the best in the Australian middle order.

Georgia Voll delivered a strong counterattack, scoring 39 runs off 28 balls, including seven boundaries. She shared a crucial partnership with veteran all-rounder Ellyse Perry, who played a magnificent innings of 71 runs from 48 deliveries, smashing nine fours and a six.

Despite losing a few quick wickets in the middle overs, Annabel Sutherland kept the momentum alive with a quickfire 27 off 18 balls, while Nicola Carey provided the finishing touches with an unbeaten 26 from just 13 balls.

Australia finished on an attractive 199/7 in 20 overs, aided by 21 extras from Pakistan's bowlers.

For Pakistan, Sadia Iqbal, Nashra Sandhu, and Rameen Shamim claimed two wickets each, but they struggled to contain Australia's aggressive batting throughout the innings.

Australian Bowlers Dominate

Chasing a daunting target of 200, Pakistan never found momentum. Opener Muneeba Ali fought hard with 32 runs off 25 balls, including four boundaries and a six, but lacked support from the other end.

The Australian bowling attack struck regularly, reducing Pakistan to 50/4 inside seven overs before triggering a complete collapse.

Captain Sophie Molineux delivered an excellent spell, taking 2 wickets for just 6 runs, while Georgia Wareham was equally impressive, conceding only 2 runs and taking a wicket in her two overs.

Ellyse Perry capped off a brilliant all-round performance with 2 wickets, and Annabel Sutherland also picked up two wickets as Pakistan were bundled out for 86.
