RNE vs BL-40th Match- MPPL 2026, 22 June- Royal Nimar Eagles Storm to Eight-Wicket Victory Over Bhopal Leopards in MPL 2026
Royal Nimar Eagles produced a dominant all-round display to register a comprehensive eight-wicket victory over Bhopal Leopards in the 40th match of the Madhya Pradesh Premier League (MPL) 2026. A devastating bowling performance led by Kumar Kartikeya set up an easy chase as the Eagles reached the target in just 9.2 overs.
Ansh Bagadia contributed 24 runs, while Kamal Tripathi added 17, but the rest of the batting lineup failed to make an impact against a disciplined Royal Nimar bowling attack.
The star of the innings was Kumar Kartikeya, who delivered a sensational spell of 6 wickets for 24 runs in just three overs. His brilliant performance ripped through the Leopards' batting order and left them with little chance of posting a competitive total. Parush Mandal supported him well with two wickets, while Dharmesh Patel chipped in with one scalp.
Chasing a modest target of 108, Royal Nimar Eagles came out with aggressive intent. Kanishk Dubey played a match-winning knock, remaining unbeaten on 51 off just 19 balls, smashing six sixes and two fours at a remarkable strike rate of 268.42.
Captain Himanshu Mantri provided excellent support with 31 runs from 17 deliveries, while Anand Bais remained unbeaten on 12 as the Eagles comfortably reached 112/2 in only 9.2 overs.
Bhopal's bowlers struggled to contain the flow of runs, with Pranjul Puri and Yuvraj Nema picking up a wicket each, but the target proved far too small to defend.
