Sri Lanka Women Struggle with the Bat
Sri Lanka endured a disastrous start after being sent in to bat. Star batter and captain Chamari Athapaththu and opener Vishmi Gunaratne were dismissed for cheply . Harshitha Samarawickrama also departed without scoring as Sri Lanka slumped to 9/3 inside three overs.
Middle-order batter Kavisha Dilhari attempted to rebuild the innings with a steady 21 runs, while Nilakshika Silva top-scored with 30 off 26 balls. However, regular wickets prevented Sri Lanka from gaining momentum.
Kawya Kavindi added 17 runs lower down the order, but the innings never recovered from the early collapse. Sri Lanka were eventually bowled out for 98 in 19.4 overs.

West Indies captain Hayley Matthews once again showed her all-round brilliance. The off-spinner ripped through Sri Lanka's top order, finishing with outstanding figures of 3/15 in four overs.
Karishma Ramharack claimed two crucial wickets, while Chinelle Henry, Afy Fletcher, Aaliyah Alleyne and Ashmini Munisar chipped in with one wicket each.

Captain Hayley Matthews scored 17 runs before being run out, while veteran all-rounder Deandra Dottin contributed 12. Sri Lanka's bowlers briefly raised hopes by reducing West Indies to 70/5.
However, experienced batter Stafanie Taylor remained calm under pressure. She guided the chase with an unbeaten 27 off 25 balls, including a six and a boundary.
