Afghanistan Fight Back Through Shahidi's Century

After winning the toss and batting first, Afghanistan suffered an early collapse as India's pace attack ripped through the top order batters.

Two Opener Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmat Shah, Darwish Rasooli all fell cheaply, leaving Afghanistan struggling at 36/4.

Then Captain Hashmatullah Shahidi stood firm amid the chaos and played a magnificent innings of 102 runs off 131 balls, smashing 13 fours and a six. He found valuable support from Azmatullah Omarzai, who scored a quick-fire 50 off 56 balls.

Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Nabi added 21 runs, helping Afghanistan reach a respectable total of 218 all out in 44.2 overs.
