Oman delivered a commanding all-round performance to defeat Bahrain by 20 runs in the 5th Match of Group B at the Asian Games Qualifier in Singapore on June 3, 2026.A magnificent innings from Mohammed Al Balushi powered Oman to a formidable total before their bowlers held their nerve to restrict Bahrain to 164/5, securing an important victory in the tournament.
After being asked to bat first, Oman got off to an excellent start through Mohammed Al Balushi and Shuaib Al Balushi.
The opening pair added 101 runs for the first wicket, laying the perfect foundation for a big total. Mohammed Al Balushi was the star of the innings, smashing 81 runs from just 51 balls, including seven fours and six towering sixes.
Shuaib Al Balushi provided valuable support with 32 runs from 30 deliveries before Bahrain finally broke the partnership.
