After being asked to bat first, Oman got off to an excellent start through Mohammed Al Balushi and Shuaib Al Balushi.

The opening pair added 101 runs for the first wicket, laying the perfect foundation for a big total. Mohammed Al Balushi was the star of the innings, smashing 81 runs from just 51 balls, including seven fours and six towering sixes.

Shuaib Al Balushi provided valuable support with 32 runs from 30 deliveries before Bahrain finally broke the partnership.

Captain Sufyan Mehmood then accelerated in the death overs, remaining unbeaten on 40 from 27 balls. Oman finished strongly on 184/4 from their 20 overs.

Bahrain's pursuit of 185 got off to the worst possible start when Numan Yousuf was dismissed without scoring in the very first over.
