IRE-W vs WI-W- 4th T20I, 1st June, 2026- Ireland Women Stun West Indies Women in Rain-Affected Tri-Nation Clash at Dublin
Dublin, June 1, 2026: Ireland Women produced a spirited performance to earn a remarkable result against West Indies Women in the 4th match of the Ireland Women's Tri-Nation Series at Dublin. Despite being set a challenging target by the Caribbean side, Ireland's batters responded brilliantly before rain intervened, leaving the hosts comfortably ahead on the Duckworth-Lewis-Stern (DLS) method.
After being asked to bat first, West Indies Women endured a shaky start as Ireland's bowlers struck early.
Star players Hayley Matthews and Deandra Dottin failed to make significant contributions, falling for just 1 and 16 respectively. Young batter Qiana Joseph showed attacking intent with a quick 12 off 7 balls, but Ireland continued to pick up wickets at regular intervals.
Veteran Stafanie Taylor looked set to anchor the innings before retiring hurt on 9. The middle order then rebuilt through Shemaine Campbelle, who scored 21, and an excellent knock from Jannillea Glasgow, who top-scored with 36 runs from 26 deliveries, including six boundaries.
Late contributions from Zaida James (14) and Shawnisha Hector (7)* helped West Indies reach a competitive total of 141/8 in 20 overs.
